Plantation Shutters: our ‘go to’ product are the Luxaflex PolySatin shutters. Made from durable polyresin, they are an unpainted product and have an industry leading 20 year warranty on the surface of the product and a short lead time of 3-4 weeks (depending on how busy the Yatala factory is). Other shutters can be made from a variety of materials, and can be manufactured in Australia or imported, but all have a shorter warranty on the product’s surface as they are all painted. Luxaflex PolySatin Shutters

The Luxaflex PolySatin shutters are our favourite, enjoying the longest warranty period on the finished surface (20 years internal or external use), are Australian made and are fully waterproof. Incorporating an anti-static property during the manufacturing process that helps repel dirt, they are the lowest maintenance shutter that we know of, and are simple to remove from their hinges enabling easy cleaning if required. The special UV stabilised surface of the PolySatin also means that stains cannot adhere to the surface and can be cleaned off easily (even permanent marker pen!). With hardly any VOC’s, they are also the child friendly option.
We feel they are the ideal product for our tropical climate.
